DAD: You know how Joanne was saying how they know us down at the pharmacy? The reason they knew us down at the pharmacy is because we had seen and been here to Children's Hospital and to so many doctors up at Newton Wellesley and everyplace else. There was one point we were up what- 24 hours straight? His stomach had upset, the migraine headaches. he was in so much pain that I had to carry him, alright, in and out of the hospital. I mean this is your son, you pick him up and we're in trouble. Because we got him here and there was nothing they could do. We see a couple of doctors and we go, "Okay, what's the story?" And they go, "Well, he's got multiple problems and it's incurable." And I'm saying, "Well this don't look too good. I'm not too happy about something like that." And we really thought we were in for the long haul, because when they started saying "multiple problems," I'm saying, "Well, this isn't going to work out." And I just couldn't accept that for an answer. Most people at that point would throw in the towel and say, "Okay, incurable, you're done" you know? And I think it snapped us the other way. I felt bad for a minute and then I actually felt like, "We're going to fight this. We're going to fight, and we're going to win." And we won.
