I think the main thing is realizing that it's not just a disease. I mean, yes, it's a terrible thing to have to deal with, especially as a teenager, but realizing that there are a lot of things you can get from it as well. I mean, a whole new appreciation on what life is and what's important to you. I mean, I realized- if you're sitting there and wondering, "What am I going to be able to do with my life? What things am I going to be able to keep doing even with this?" you realize what you love doing the most. For me, I wanted to make sure I could still do music, and still go to school and do everything that I wanted to do. So it really makes you realize what are the most important things to you- how to go about your life in a way that you appreciate what you have. And that's something that I even try to share with my friends now, is that every time that you have that you can do what you want is an amazing thing. And that's the most important part, I think.
