In the high school setting I really didn't share it with any of my friends except for one- my very best friend. Because high school is a weird place where image is such a big thing, and trying to deal with classes and social life and sports and everything, I didn't want to have anything get in the way. So I really didn't share it all that much. Looking back, I think maybe I would have shared it a little bit more, considering the response I've gotten from friends in college. But that's a more personal choice about what you're comfortable with. But definitely with teachers, they understood, they didn't push me on it- if I had to talk to them about it, they were fine, and they were very open and supportive. But they didn't constantly ask me, "Oh, are you okay?" Which I think is one of the most frustrating things. If someone gives you almost too much attention, it makes you feel worse than if they just sort of are there for you when you need something.
