You are still a normal person

Nobody should treat you differently because you have diabetes.  You are still a normal person.

They shouldn't feel left out from anything

They shouldn’t feel left out from anything. If people say that they can’t eat as much them, they can just say they have a healthier diet and won’t be overweight and stuff like that.

Build your own way of living

Although it can be very frustrating, having diabetes will not impact your life in major ways. It is a major change for sure, and it requires a great deal of change in your own thoughts and practices, but having diabetes will not stop you from doing anything you want. Also don’t let doctors tell you what is best for you. Trust them, and follow their advice on medical matters, but don’t let them dictate your entire life. Use their advice and information as a guideline to build your own way of living.

Pay attention to your body

As long as you pay attention to what you’re body tells you diabetes will not affect the way you live your life. In fact, it will probably make you a more healthful and active person.
