Changes We’ve Made to Cope

Cody: The changes I’ve made … At one point we got rid of all the knives in the house because I was really impulsive. I walked in front of cars once and that’s totally ridiculous and unrational.

Mom: So, I sold my house, I quit my job, and I decided that I had to get him some help because he was headed toward juvenile justice and I’m serious, he would have ended up in jail because there was no mental health service where we lived before.

Cody: I have a sense of right and wrong. I think I’m totally different; I can’t really describe it. I have things to do now, also before I was just bored and when you’re bored it can lead to anger.
