HOW TO SHARE YOUR STORY

At Children's Hospital Boston, we have developed the Experience Journal website, which is designed to help children and their families who are confronted with a medical or emotional condition. The website takes the experiences of children and parents and makes these experiences available via computer access to families who may be facing similar issues. The website is owned and controlled by Children's Hospital.

The Experience Journal works by accepting descriptions from families about what it has been like to live and cope with a medical or emotional illness (ranging from short written explanations of an experience to pictures, poems, stories, or even movies). The website organizes these contributions in a way that makes it easy for families to access information that might be of interest to them, and may add graphics, music and particular formats. A hospital committee of parents and health care providers reviews and edits all contributions for appropriateness prior to including them in the Experience Journal.

If you would like to contribute to the Experience Journal, you may contact us through one of two ways:

  1. Send an email to ej@tch.harvard.edu.

    Or

  2. Send a letter addressed to:
