Peter Lang, MD, Staff Cardiology at Children's Hospital Boston commented on the following: Clearly being in the hospital is a very stressful time. In this midst of this stress, it is critical for me to let parents know exactly what is going on with their child whether it is good news, bad news or even no news. Bad news or no news is difficult to give to parents or a child, but nevertheless it is crucial to my maintaining a trusting relationship with a family.
