A company started by a bereaved mom and child life specialist.  This website offers a link to all kinds of resources for bereaved families.

Ethan’s House

Allie Zelinski, a chat room host for the AOL forum Moms Online, provides this small site for bereaved parents who have suffered the loss of children or infants.  Site accepts original poetry submissions from visitors and post memorials. This site includes a Dad’s Network area, one of the few sites on the net to explicitly acknowledge men’s grief.

The Sibling Support Project

The Sibling Support Project is a site for the siblings of people who have special health, developmental, or mental health concerns. It provides information, links to resources, as well as listservs for adult and child siblings.

The Dougy Center for Grieving Children & Families

Website for the Dougy Center, a nationally renowned center for work with grieving children and teens.  It has information for adults to help young people, as well as information and activities for children and teens to help understand their grief.  Information is also provided to assist with the grief experienced if someone at the child’s school dies.

Grief Net
www.griefnet.org: Large site for both adults and children.  It specializes in “email support groups” where peers provide support, while also being monitored by trained therapists and a licensed psychiatrist.  Site for children (http://www.kidsaid.com) also includes support for typical childhood/adolescent issues (i.e. peer pressure, dating, family relationships, etc.).

Centering Corporation and Grief Digest Magazine

Offers a comprehensive book and resource list to families, caregivers, and medical staff.

The Compassionate Friends

National organization that offers monthly support groups in your area along with quarterly newsletters and pamphlets.  Contact the national office to find the chapter in your area.

The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation

International peer support group for parents of children who have or have had cancer.

The Sibling Connection
