Interviewer: What is one of the greatest rewards for you as a mother of children with asthma?

Mother: The reward is I have healthy children. They may be asthmatics, but they can swim and do sports and do well in school and not spend so much time out of school because of the conditions of their school. So those are rewards. And with me, because I talk to other parents-the knowledge I receive I like sharing it-and that reward is when a parent says to me "You know what? I listened and I learned from what you said to me and it works," and they're not afraid anymore either. Because at first you are very afraid but being afraid can't help your child. So the reward is just knowing that your children can have a healthy, normal life.
