Interviewer: What did you do to help you get over your fear of administering the medication?
Mother: We received knowledge, because you figure your children have this disease, and you need to know as a parent how to administer it. You can't freak out, because they way you handle the situation, your child's life is in your hands. So we met a pulmonary doctor, which is doctor Susan Steinbach, and she gave me knowledge. Dr. Steinbach gave me knowledge to the point that she even introduced me to groups where I could be with others to give me knowledge to say that it's OK, you have to administer medication, you can't freak out, because a child actually the asthma attack could become more severe if the child looks in your face and you're panicking and then you can't administer the medication because of the panicking. But the pulmonary doctor and the knowledge-you have to have knowledge of this disease otherwise you can't help your child.
