Interviewer: Do you worry that having asthma will affect Billy and Verdo as they get older?

Mother: Well I do. I worry about their future, but I know with me and my boys, if I stay involved and my boys know it's important to take their medication and to exercise, I think they'll be fine. I don't think that you need to focus on the disease itself, because having asthma shouldn't be something that holds a child back. I think they have to go on and try to live a normal life. You know you may have restrictions, but you still have to live your life as normal as possible. And that's by staying on track with your medication, knowing what your triggers are and avoiding them if possible, and if not, take controllers. And just take control of your children's or your life, and you can live a normal life.
